An 18-month program funded by UNOPS, designed to build effective and sustainable capacity to coordinate, collaborate, and leverage community and clinical efforts to improve TB case detection, linkage, and treatment.

Ending TB through community action.
The program covers Kahama Town Council and Msalala District Council in Shinyanga Region, Tanzania. It operates across 38 wards — 18 in Msalala DC and 20 in Kahama TC — working with community health workers, health facilities, and local leaders.
Case Detection
Community health workers conduct active case finding, screening, and referral of presumptive TB cases to health facilities.
Linkage to Care
Improving referral systems so diagnosed patients are quickly linked to treatment and follow-up services.
Treatment Support
Supporting patients through treatment adherence, contact tracing, and family screening initiatives.
Community Capacity
Building local capacity to coordinate and sustain TB response efforts beyond the project period.
